Server is already struggling,ban knifekill and herbalist

Pretty much what the tittle says. They both only log in to be piece of shit and they make the few new player we get go away(lack of updates doesnt help but we cant control update,those two piece of shit can be controlled and banning them would help the server since they bring NOTHING positive to the server). Just check their public chat/Yell chat history and you'll see that they only log in to talk shit and be negative,they would have been banned within a week back in the day but nowaday they aint getting banned cause we lacking player but by keeping those 2 piece of shit,you hurt the server more than anything. Giving them a day mute or a 48 aint doing shit,they just dont log in and they wait for it to be done - knifekill just got a 2 months mute and im sure if you check how much hes played since that moment,it aint gonna be much and thats cause he cant be a cancer since hes muted.

Honestly,im not the best example to say all of this but because i used to be EXTREMELY toxic and im still toxic from time to time but i got punished for it back in the days AND whenever im toxic,i dont wait for staff to be offline to be do it like herb and knife do since they know they wont get punished if nobody ::Report them and even if they get reported,most time the report post get ignored(Adam made multiple report on knifekill that got ignored from what ive been told) and when it doesnt get ignored,staff give them a little slap on the wrist.


(And for my boy that care,im off untill those piece of shit finally get a real punishment - i cba to play and try to help keep the server alive when i see people like that not getting any punishment).

One of the greatest ways to disengage someone spewing toxicity is to stick them on ignore list in-game! Honestly I can't remember if that also applies to ignoring ::yell though...

Bottom line is, these kinds of players who are contributing nothing but negativity and toxicity should be given a 3-strike rule and they're out.

Putting them on ignore is the same as cutting down a tree but not the root and expecting it to not regrow(not sure you understand what i mean).

For the rest,i totally agree and Herbalist x/Knifekill1 are at like 23837327823832 strikes but since there's no staff on most of the time and nobody report them,they are allowed to stick around - and staff cant check their history without a ::report cause a of a rule to avoid staff abuse or to avoid people to get punished twice for a thing they did and that made sense when we had staff online 24 7 but now that rule is only protecting those toxic people since staff are barely on anymore and those toxic people wait for no staff to be on to do their shit - I could stick around and report them but changing the old rule would make more senses and thats the point im trying to get across but as you saw with khilla reply above,its a lost cause. So untill that rule is changed or action is taken against those two player,im outta here!

I might be misunderstanding but that's been a pretty common occurrence for about as long as I've been around. Pretty much the reason logs exist. I agree that staff don't spontaneously open the logs and spend a couple hours looking through everything that's been said on a given day, and waiting for someone to fill out a form to look is procedural standard more than the easiest way to determine whether someone has done wrong ... plus, in the fairly common scenario where a player doesn't understand how to use outdated internet forums or take a screenshot, the best they can do is say 'he said something on this day.' That's when one would normally look through logs to verify, though back then we had to piece it together by looking at command logs and reconstructing conversations ourselves.

I think he just meant they don't sit around looking at the logs and the report needs to provide some information about timing etc. for it to be reasonable to look. Separate from that is a definite shift in the procedure staff follow - if it's not a properly written report, for some reason, it just "can't" get looked at. This started well before Ryan even became manager (Billy was the first to really enforce it) and it kinda neutered staff's ability to be helpful. Information is information, no matter the form - if you want it to be useful it will, so long as you spend time verifying it.
