Not sure what other project you're hinting at but pkh isn't bringing in any money so obviously that means we can't spend 12 hours a day working on it. Gotta pay rent and put food on the table somehow. Pkh isn't capable of doing that so it's now just a hobby project in our spare time. It's basically charity work.

Right now every cent PkHonor makes goes into upkeep and advertisement. If donations go down further then we reduce advertisement further, which is unfortunately a vicious cycle . If they keep dropping even after advertisement reaches zero then we might be able to shave off little bits here and there by cutting corners (like moving to slower / less reliable hardware or completely dropping all DDoS protection). But yes, if donations drop below the absolute bare minimum expenses then we're not going to use our personal savings to keep the server online for the rest of our lives. I'd think that would be obvious. At that point we would probably pay for another 6 months out of our own pockets and give notice to the community, so that anyone who still choses to donate knows that there is no guarantee they will be able to enjoy the fruits of their donation for a long time.

None of this is going to happen anytime soon but anyway, that's the scenario we envision in case PkHonor dies a financial death. I think it's mostly common sense.
