If it helps this event was initially proposed with this theme when it wasn't quite as bad as now, but the intention isn't to make light of it. Just that it's kind of the thing going on right now.

Yes as Church said. Originally this event was made before the spiralling of cases/deaths. That being said, the purpose of the event is to kill the virus and it is meant to bring some light-hearted fun into the server in these gloomy of times.
