It benefits you more via money than it does skilling.

In the time it takes to make rings, you could be getting better xp per /hr doing other things.

This method is saturated so it takes a long time to sell!

I'm pretty sure ring of recoils alch for 450k each, but I could be wrong. I started doing this method right when I started and was making 200m profit every 500 rings. I also recommended this method to any new player out there, and still do because it's insanely great money, but it does take a lot of concentration.
