I think a random pattern would be fine as long as the Nylocas don't overpopulate and explode at a higher or lower rate, thus making the room either to hard or to easy

It will be required to check what's already in the room, and it should be equally as hard as OSRS'. But the difference will simply be what Nylocas comes from what side at what point.

Not a bad idea. Although, I think this would be less likely to happen, looking at construction where a bunch of stuff still have the 'Will be added at a later point' message.

I have. The people that I talked to really don't seem to mind the random mechanics, telling me that only the elite raiders would even notice.


I'm actually really curious how there seems to only be small favour for the random algorithm, even though I personally do not think that ~50% of our player base belongs to the category of 'elite raiders'.
Could anyone give me some insight in why players are massively choosing for the OSRS pattern?

Yeah we definitely don't have many elite raiders lurking around here :lol: maybe 1 or 2
It is probably for the usual reason. Our community is uninformed on most things and make decisions based on their perception. This is why polls are generally useless for deciding mechanics. All this one says is that half of our players would prefer this done "fast" and half would prefer it done "right". The only people who can decisively say what is better is those who actually have the experience with it. If we can't find enough of those people to give legitimate input, go with the faster method. No one has ever complained about how our fight caves don't follow the same rotations.

Even if the elite raiders think it matters a lot. If they are the only ones that notice it, then does it really? If 90%+ of our players don't notice it and it barely effects the 'elite raiders', then it really doesn't sound like its worth putting in the time to get it "right".

I have never done raids 1 or 2, so it would benefit the most, if we do the fast method.

Nylo feels pretty random anyways in osrs. It’s a pretty straightforward room too, and the nylo do change color when coming down the ramps in later waves. For example, it comes out of cave as green and changes to blue halfway down the ramp and then changes to gray or green again when walking onto the floor.

People aren’t going to notice and I’d be surprised if anyone actually did. Normally though, there’s 2-3 per ramp of the same color at each time. So as long as you don’t make it so there could be 6 gray coming from east ramp at once, then all should be fine.

Pk Honor has been my Runescape go to since 2014 (on and off). I don't play OSRS nor keep up with it at all. When i take breaks from here I do read through updates and changes to keep track of what has happened, to see if any changes has been made that wouldn't make the game enjoyable for me (in my case, would be any "nerfs"). Having the updates released on Discord would be a great and useful idea.

For the content, I would always prefer to be made in the PK honor fashion. Which for me, means enjoying the content from RS without too much annoyance. Which is the reason this has been my main server for 5+ years.

I would like to say to the Devs to make sure you define what your Core vision Was, Is and what it's going to be. I think FUN should be the #1 priority of the server (if it wasn't already). We have a healthy amount of amazing custom content in the server which doesn't make it suitable for "purists" servers.

I may be the odd one out in this, but I do not equate grinding with FUN. The contrary, the more grindy the less fun, hence why I don't play the real thing anymore. I think it's hilarious how people complain that the players don't like to PK and then one of the main money makers starting out Is or was KQ and it's drops get nerfed... lol. Please boost +20% on that permanently. Anyone remember barrelchest? Completely useless dead content (other than the necklace ofc).

I know People will disagree but allow me to explain where I'm coming from.

A lot of us have busy lives, I work 60+ hours a week. I'm assuming a lot of the RS players are now in our mid to late twenties. A lot of people have kids/wives etc. A TON of other amazing games (non rs related) games to enjoy. Please keep this in mind when you make updates/drop rate nerfs etc.

Let's look at the amazing things this server offers to make it immersive without the ANNOYANCE.

Farming: tons of herbs with like a minute growth time! Bank deposit right next to it, basically no super compost needed!! AMAZING!
The mind of the Dev who made it that way (in my opinion) "you're doing farming, it works flawlessly without the RS annoyance) (it would be awesome if you made an enchanted version or an add on to the magic secateurs that allow you to get noted herbs (if you do please poll for the prices and requirements of said item)

The woodcut rate of which you get xp/logs is amazing!! Although it feels like you guya purposely lowered the time that the magic tree stays alive (please make it longer, stop being anti fun/afkness) not asking for an hour long lasting tree but a bit longer would be nice (like before or more)

The fishing rate! Its awesome to see how fast you catch fish! I've recently started playing another server that caters more to the "realism" crowd (yet they have ::bank for donators) anyway, cutting magics there, fishing, mining all with rs real rate. Omg I wanted to die!! Made me appreciate PKHs common sense approach to these skills. You get to do them but not so freaking boring! Which that's what a RSPS should be IMO. Doing things easier than the actual game, in a custom more common sense fashion.

I've gone long enough, sorry for the semi rant. Thanks for reading.

I actually fully agree with this, it's why skotizo was dead on release. It was and still is not fun at all, not even respire wants to grind it. Make the game fun we'd play osrs if we wanted pure osrs content.

Thanks! I just think pk honor should go back to it's roots. Make it fun and custom. There are plenty of other choices for "purists".

I know there is talk of not allowing blowpipe to stack with chaos comp anymore... Why kill the fun??? Smh lol... that's super end content it should be "op" (which i don't think it is, it's fun and worth pursuing)...

Not sure why we listen to the no lifer complainers lol

I agree too. PKH should be OSRS but fun without the annoyances, as you said. The hard part is keeping a balance in these things though. PKH doesn't need any ak47s and all the other custom shit you see on servers nowadays - It's an RSPS and needs the core mechanics of RS, but it should be allowed to stray from being true to OSRS once the core mechanics are in place. End game stuff has to be good, but not too OP that it ruins the game not only for you but also for others. I believe that's one of the main reasons that devs are trying to add OSRS items and areas before making their own: The OSRS team knows what's up, it's literally their job and they usually know what effects adding certain items, monsters or areas will have on the community and economy of the game. Adding OSRS things = Safe bet, and once we get more or less up to date again with what OSRS can offer I'm pretty sure that we'll be getting our own custom things that make the server more fun than just playing OSRS on a max acc
