Considering the overwhelming majority of players want every single wilderness NPC to have a 1/30 chance at dropping a looting bag on death, I am starting to doubt whether it would be a good idea to allow players to have more than one.

Consider players killing lots of wilderness NPC's and stacking dozens (if not hundreds or even thousands) of looting bags. Not to mention having them drop so often that players won't even consider picking them up after a time, becoming more of a "oh yay, another looting bag..." than a "cool, got my looting bag back".

I'm sure most players want nothing but the most convenient thing for them, which is "give us hundreds of looting bags at almost no effort", but this practice is not always favorable.
The end result of this poll will not be the decisive factor whether we will limit the amount of looting bags players can get. The reasoning behind it is far more important, so commenting on this topic why you chose that particular option is highly recommended.

Note that if the option for 5 looting bags would be the chosen end result, NPC's will simply not drop any more for a player if they already have 5 in their inventory and bank combined (similar to how a player cannot have more than 5 effigies at the same time and NPC's will stop dropping them for you until you have less than 5).

I think they made this because HCIM’s should only have one and if i remember correctly it would have insane client issues having more of the same item ID’s where items can be stored in ?

Just 1 lets not make it too different or difficult.

That's kind of the whole point of the looting bag tbh - nice addition but a bummer to lose it. If you can have multiple you can just farm 100 of them and not care about losing your looting bag.

It's not always necessary to be exactly like OSRS, but this is definitely a core mechanic that shouldn't be changed.

I actually wouldn't mind multiple. It will be easier when it comes down to things like presets, and I don't see any downsides for players having hunderds of looting bags.

Lootings bags will be so healthy for the wild: players will be tempted to pick up more items, seeing as they're stored away in their bag and they'd have more inventory spaces for loot. A lot of PKs will become juicier if everyone has a looting bag on them. So when it comes down to it: more looting bags = better pks = healthier wild. I don't think anyone looks forward to losing their bag and having to grind for another one, so players will be less tempted to take a bag on every slayer task/pk trip if they'd risk losing it.

I'd say unlimited bags, it will keep the looting bag alive.

I like the idea of getting multiple looting bags. On osrs, getting a looting bag is seen as an annoying waste of effort by most players.

Agreed.

Also, let’s not forget that the looting bag is purchaseable with BH points. While many think getting and losing a single looting bag to be part of the core mechanic, we should also be mindful that BH emblems are tradeable items on OSRS. Personally, I buy those emblems for the looting bags as opposed killing 30 NPC’s to get one. It’s a pain in the ass to rebuy a looting bag after each death from the emblem trader in Edge.

We should also be mindful that we don’t have near as many NPC’s as OSRS. Where one might kill skeletons and ankous for a looting bag on OSRS, we have to kill bosses/revs/dragons on here. Variety isn’t exactly our forte.

Imo, multiple looting bags is the way to go. There’s not really a harm that comes from having multiple, rather a QOL benefit. With as many plankers as we have on here (mainly Adam), the multiple looting bags would help them get back to pvp quicker and not have to be annoyed with pvming for a looting bag. Devils advocate though, presets could allow a deep pker with multiple looting bags to return after death quickly to kill the person who killed him, full inv of food & full looting bag, making the chances of killing him a 2nd time slim.

An additional looting bad would not give the returning player any advantage though. A player could do the same exact thing now with only presets. If anything, adding the looting bags would give the advantage to the killers. They would be able to loot everything much faster without having to think about which items to take and which to leave. Don't have to think "hmmm should I drop this brew for those dboots even though I am sitting in level 52 multi?". Just spam click the loot pile and get out.

What I was meaning is more geared towards a fresh fight. Looting bag or not, your supplies will be low while picking up the loot. Multiple looting bags will allow someone to regear with preset to come back and kill you, keep a full inv of food, and use the looting bag to store both loot piles. Rather than coming back without a looting bag and having to drop all your food for both loots.

Hopefully that makes sense? Looting is pretty quick, but using a preset to regear and tele back to kbd is quicker I think.

I'd say limit it to 5, no need to have hundreds, but 5 is a good number in my eyes. 1 bag would just make it more annoying to have to get another one each and every time. As long as everything is coded correctly I don't see an issue with having more than 1 bag.
