Post by Egede1 » Fri Apr 13, 2018 11:48 pm

^ Title pretty much says it all

When i try to run pkh on my vm (virtualbox running ubuntu 16.04) it outputs the following:

Code: Select all

connecting to server
connected to server
*game starts & runs for about 2-3 secs*
java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe (Write failed)
	at java.net.SocketOutputStream.socketWrite0(Native Method)
	at java.net.SocketOutputStream.socketWrite(SocketOutputStream.java:111)
	at java.net.SocketOutputStream.write(SocketOutputStream.java:155)

(My host system is windows 8 btw)

Damn, why you tryna play pkhonor on a vm though? I understand security but surely just connecting from a vpn is good enough? Excuse me if wrong, not really too knowledgeable in this.

I'm afraid this is intentional. The server kicks you off once it realizes you are using VirtualBox.

We've only ever seen VM's used for illicit things: ban evasion, botting, mass hacking, attempting to dupe or any other activity where the user is trying to avoid getting banned. Allowing VM users to play basically enables them to keep abusing forever and since no one uses VM's to play legitimately it makes a lot more sense to block them completely.

Understandable. I was only using a VM to test out linux before I made the decision to permanently change OS. But as long as pkh work normally when it isn't a VM then its all good :)

Being a Linux user myself I can confirm PkHonor runs just fine on it. ;)

Can confirm. Unbeatable rune scim to r2h switches and plenty of sara/zammy sets pked to back that up
