Construction Guide

Post by Sinusoidal » Tue Sep 06, 2016 4:59 am

This is the complete PKHonor Construction Guide. This guide includes how to obtain all tools and materials needed to achieve 99 Construction.

Getting Started:
The tools you will need include a Hammer and a Saw.
Both the Hammer and the Saw can be bought from the General Store south of ::home or ::shops from the Supplies Store Salesman for 1gp each tool.

Once you have the tools you need you can start collecting materials, or alternatively buying them.

The total list of materials you will need are, in order:
- 1 Hammer
- 1 Saw
- 27 Regular Planks
- 27 Steel Nails
- 483 Oak Planks
- 8,848 Mahogany Planks
- 8,488 Gold Leaves
- 8,358 Casts of Plank Make on the Lunar Spellbook (18,716 Astral Runes, 140,370 Earth Runes, 93,580 Nature Runes) or 561,480,000gp to convert your logs to planks via the Sawmill Operator. If you prefer to make your own planks, it is advised to use a Staff of Earth instead of crafting your own Earth Runes.

Additionally if you choose to purchase your planks through the Sawmill Operator, 1-99 Construction will cost you a total of 1,894,680,000gp.
- 60,000,000 for Rooms in your Player Owned House (10m = Parlor, 10m = Dining Hall, 40m = Kitchen)
- 6561,480,000gp towards your planks at the Sawmill Operator
- 1,894,680,000 to turn your gold bars to gold leaf via the Stonemason at the Crafting Guild

The Sawmill Operator is located west of the Seers' Village Teleport location. (Spellbook Tab > Cities > Seers' Village)

For Ironmen, or Self-Sufficient accounts, you will need to obtain all of these materials from scratch.

The required levels for collecting all of your material manually are:
- 40 Mining (15 for Iron Ore, 30 For Coal, and 40 For Gold Ore)
- 40 Smithing (34 to smith Steel Nails, 40 to forge Gold Bars)
- 50 Woodcutting (1 for Logs, 15 for Oak Logs, 50 for Mahogany Logs)

So, now that you have your Saw and Hammer, you need to start collecting your materials.

For all of your Planks, grab 1620k and the highest tier axe you have the woodcutting level to use; then head to Seers' Village. (Spellbook Tab > Cities > Seers' Village)
From Seers' Village, take a few paces south and fill your remaining 27 inventory slots with Logs.
After you inventory is full, ensure your Run orb is highlighted near your Minimap, and run west along the road.
Enter the first building to the west of Seers' Village Bank. It is identifiable by its Smithing icon.
Once inside said building, right-click the Sawmill Operator and select Buy-plank.
All of your Logs will be converted to Planks.

If you would otherwise prefer to use the Plank Make spell on the Lunar spellbook, you will need to swap spellbooks to lunar.
No matter they spellbook you're on, (unless you're already on the Lunar spellbook) you will need to teleport to Edgeville and "Pray-at" the Alter of Guthix.
To convert all 27 Logs to Planks, you will need 27 casts of Plank Make. (54 Astral Runes, 405 Earth Runes (Or Staff of Earth), and 270 Nature Runes)
Image

Now that you have your planks, you will need your Steel Nails.
Making your nails will require 30 Mining and 34 Smithing.
Go to Seers' Village Bank, store your Planks and Axe, and retrieve the highest tier pickaxe that you have the Mining level to use, and a hammer.
Then head to ::skilling.
Run west from the ::skilling spawn point and collect two Iron Ore and two Coal.
Run north and forge two Steel Bars from your ore and Coal, via the Furnace.
Alternatively, you could use the Normal spellbook to cast Superheat. This will cost you
Once you have your Steel Bars, use a Steel Bar on the Anvil located towards the south-east corner of the room.
Smith two sets of Steel Nails.

Your Inventory should then look like this:

You now have all the required items for 1 - 19 Construction!

For levels 19 - 52, the only materials you will need is 483 Oak Planks.
There optimal method for collecting these planks is to Woodcut the Oak Trees west of the ::skilling spawn point and bank at the nearby Closed Chest until you have all 483 Oak Logs.
Image

Then run back and forth from the Seers' Village Bank to the Sawmill Operator.
This will cost you 60k per Oak Log turned to Oak Plank. (28,980,000gp in total)

After you've turned your Oak Logs into Oak Planks, you're ready to start the grind!
From level 52 to 99 you will use Mahogany Planks for everything. This equates to 8,848 Mahogany logs.
The chopping Mahogany Logs requires a Woodcutting level of 50.
The optimal location to gather these logs is the ::skilling zone.
There are two Mahogany Trees located just a few square south-east of the Closed Chest that you should use to store your Logs.

After hours of Woodcutting, you should have all of your logs and be ready for another grind; making them into planks.
Repeat the same steps as with the Oak Logs, with your new Mahogany Logs, except this time, it will cost you a total of 530,880,000gp.

The last material you will need is Gold Leaf. Beware, these are expensive for new players. You will need a total of 8,488 Gold Leaves.
You will need to collect Gold Ore, forge them into Gold Bars and then have them converted into Gold Leaf by the Stonemason in the Crafting Guild for 150k each.
The optimal location to mine Gold Ore is the Crafting Guild.
Teleporting to the Crafting guild is done by the following links: Spellbook Tab>Skilling>More Skilling Zones>Crafting Guild

Once you're there, the west area contains the Gold Rocks you will be mining. There is a convenient Bank Booth to your immediate west.
The Stonemason you will be using is located directly north of the Bank Booth.

NOW. FINALLY. You have all of the required supplies for 1 to 99 Construction.

First you will have to purchase a Player Owned House.
You do this by speaking to the Estate Agent located at the north-west corner of Varrock Square. (::home)
You will only need a home with the ability to hold three rooms. This will cost you 1,000k.

The first trip to your new home, you should bring 10m cash, a hammer, a saw, 27 Steel Nails and 24 Planks.
To enter your POH, click the large purple portal just south of the Estate Agent. Then select "Enter My House (Building Mode)."

For levels 1 - 33, you will need to construct a Parlor. This will cost you 10m.
Right-click a doorway and select Build. Select Parlor, and choose the direction you would like the room to face. Confirm.
Image

Right-click the silloette of a chair and select build. Then select Crude Wooden Chair.
Once it is built, remove it. Do this a total of three times.
Image

Then instead of building Crude Wooden Chairs, build Wooden Chairs.
Build and remove this a total of seven times. After six Wooden Chairs, you will need to Home Teleport and bring more Planks as well as the rest of your inventory filled with Oak Planks.

After you Build your final Wooden Chair, remove it and start building Oak Chairs. Make and remove 10; Home Teleport and retrieve more Oak Planks when necessary.

After 10 Oak Chairs, build 13 Oak Armchairs. This is the last item you will build in your Parlor.

Next you will need to build a Kitchen in your POH.
Build a Kitchen the same way you built the Parlor, except this will cost you 40m coins instead of 10m.
Image

In your Kitchen you will be building Oak Larders. You will build 53 of them from 33 to 52 Construction.
You will use the remainder of your Oak Planks here. (424 Oak Planks)
Image

When you've achieved 52 Construction, you will only one room left until 99!

You will need to construct your third and final room, the Dining Room. This will cost you another 10m.
Image

In this Dining Room, you will need to construct 360 Mahogany Tables. This will get you from level 52 to 61.
Continue to build/remove and replenish your inventory with Mahogany Planks.
Image

After your 61st Mahogany Table you will have achieved 61 Construction and will be ready to move on to Guilded Benches.
You will need to build and remove these benches a total of 1061 times. You will use eight Mahogany Logs and eight Gold Leaves per Guilded Bench.
Image

ALL OF THIS WILL BE IN A SPOILER TOMORROW AND A MUCH SIMPLER GUIDE WILL BE THE MAIN CONTENT. THANKS Y'ALL.

Well you could do that but if there is one skil that already has good/very detailes guides it is construction. To be honest making another one would be a waste of time.
