Probably the most fun I had on here was with the two of you back in the day. Absolute legends <3
Introduce yourself here, we would love to get to know you! Or say goodbye to PkHonor, if you're leaving...

Thoby wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 11:21 amWell ladies and gentleman, today marks my 9th anniversary on PkHonor! I've first logged into the game on the 25th of April 2011, which is exactly 9 years ago now.
So since there have been a lot of new faces around the game lately, I think it would be cool to introduce myself and give some insight in who I have been in the past 9 years and who I am today. So well; lets get started!
My name is Thoby. Even though it says 'developer' next to my name, in essence I am exactly like any of you; just a regular player. I started playing when I was quite a bit younger. The first few years of my journey were fairly casual, messing around and having fun with my cousin. I never really bothered to mix into the community up until the end of 2013, I wasn't too familiar with it and I was mostly just passively lurking the forums. The Construction Video Trailer Contest in November 2013 changed that. I participated and created a trailer, which actually won by some miracle! And this kickstarted my participation within the community. I loved it and got more involved with the playerbase. Chatting with to others in-game or through the forums.
On the 7th of December 2013 I was promoted to the Helper rank. I was extremely proud of the status, and I wore the icon with a lot of pride. I was a Helper for a little while, got be-crowned as "The Kindest Player of PkHonor" (which really warmed my heart), and even got promoted to a Forum moderator at some point! I met hundreds of wonderful people in my time as a Helper, some of which are still around to this very day.
However, at the end of 2014 my new study had taken the best of me; leaving me with no additional time for my Helper and Forum moderator duties. So I decided to resign from my position, saying goodbye to two ranks I valued highly.
In the next few years, I continued playing on the low. I wasn't really active within the community, but still logged in at least once a month to chat with old friends and work towards my Completionist cape.
I gradually become more-and-more active in 2018, and FINALLY obtained myself the Completionist cape. I assume that my activity had gotten noticed, as I was promoted to the Helper position in October 2018. If you haven't seen me in-game yet; my main account (Boss Thoby) actually has the Helper rank. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions . However, I tend to mostly run around on my other account: Thoby (feel free to hit me up either way).
A little while after my promotion, Jeremy (The Builder) and I had a chat about his role as a Trial Developer, what it entailed and how it all worked. You see, I have been programming since I was a little kid- even before I started my PkHonor journey, so I was really curious on how it all worked. He asked me if I would be interested myself, which hell yeah I was. Jeremy vouched for me, and I was contacted by Mike himself. After getting an introduction, I went to work. The Lizardman Shaman was the first update I was responsible for. After that, I was responsible for a sizeable QoL update- which marked my promotion to a full-fledged Developer! In my time as a Developer, I worked on some more updates, wrote some developers blogs, and have tried to represent the community to the best of my abilities.
I got the opportunity to work on the game I know and have loved for so long; which is an amazing blessing. I cannot express the gratitude I have towards the chance I have been given. I have been extremely fortunate to say the least. And, I like to think that maybe a small portion of the positive momentum we have had these past few months is because of my efforts, although it's primarily thanks to the Supers and the amazing staff team. Not to mention those active on these forums, being constructive and helping us shape the game together (it's safe to say you all know who you are).
So like I said; at the end of the day I'm just a regular player. Developing for PkHonor is my hobby, and I enjoy being part of this wonderful community. I do not get paid, neither would I ever want to get paid for anything I do. I do what I do because I enjoy every second of it.
Thanks to all the extraordinary people I have met along the way in my 9 year journey. All of you play a great role in where I am today. Hopefully I will be able to stay a bit longer, and strive to improve the game we all know and love.
If you have any questions, what it is like to be a developer, or whatever: feel free to ask them below!
I remember when you joined. Hope you are all good mate. Happy Anniversary!
